Geometry - Pizza Boxes
In Rm 14 for geometry we have been studying Rotation, Tessellations and Translation.
To apply our knowledge we had to design a pizza box that had all these elements on it. The students in pairs had to research about the interests and preferences of a class each in the school. They also found out what type of pizza toppings they prefer.
To create their pizza box the children needed to show it personalised to the class that they were making it for - colours, graphics etc
Then they made a tailor made pizza for that class and two lucky winners were selected from that class to share the pizza with the creators.
The students did a fantastic job!!!

Grandparents Day
On Grandparent afternoon many students had their grandparents come to school. The grandparents enjoyed seeing how different school is now and sharing what school was like in their day.

Learning about South Africa from Megan Simon
This week we were lucky enough to have Simon's Mum and Dad come in to teach us about South Africa. We learnt some amazing facts and got to taste one of their special meats which is kind of sausage and learn about the beaded art work which tells a story. Thanks from Room 15.
