Room 15 trip to the ART Gallery and the Library

In week 7 Room 15 went to the Art Gallery and the Library. We learnt about Maori clay art and got to make our own mountains. We also went to the Library and listened to some Maori Legends then acted one out

Orkney Athletics Awards

Today we presented the children who placed in the top three their certificates.  Congratulations students and next Friday they are off to the Clusters.

These are our science experiments with the little gardens

On Wednesday Room 15 planted our 'My Little Garden Plants'.
Students were put into groups with the same seeds and have each chosen a variable to test their hypothesis about how their plants will grow. We have some with and without light, some with artificial light, some with microwaved water( apparently it kills the minerals) and others with extra fertiliser or coffee grounds) Hopefully within a few weeks we will have some results to share.

Thanks to Megan Simon for helping us with our Science experiments and donating extra soil and seeds. The kids really loved their planting experience.
