Learning About The Learning Dip

This term we have revisited the learning dip.  The learning dip is when we are learning something new, getting out of our comfort zone and feeling uneasy about it.  If we have a growth mindset, we figure out ways to get out the other side of the dip.  If we have a fixed mindset, we struggle and sometimes give up.
In The Cove we all are working on having a positive growth mindset when we are faced with new learning.  We love the feeling we get when we achieve success of learning something new!!!

Here are some photos of some of the learning dip posters we did for homework...

Mount College Road Show

On Tuesday the Year 6 children went to Mount College to see their performing arts students share their Road Show.  It was very impressive and thoroughly entertaining.  We loved the variety and seeing some of the old Mounties was a highlight.

Camp Ngaruawahia

Wow, camp was a blast!!!
Orkney Team had a fantastic time, even despite the weather.  We were proud of our children who were using their 'positive mindsets' to overcome challenges and challenge themselves.  A huge thank you to our fantastic parents who made camp such a success.
