Below are poems with a focus on Metaphors and adverbs.
The rest are on display in our classroom.
Pink
Pink is the candyfloss that melts in my mouth at the noisy fair
Pink is a gooey marshmallow that crackles over the fire with my long stick
Pink is the brilliant sweet smelling rose as I sniff it cheerfully
Pink is a jolly fat pig chomping down its food greedily
Pink is the exploding fireworks rocketing through the night sky
Pink is a feisty crab pinching my toes.

My eyes
My eyes are a glistening blue ocean shining in the daylight
My pupils are dark obsidian stormy nights
My eyelashes are butterflies fluttering when they blink
My scleras are ghastly ghosts helping people.

GREEN
Green is the fresh wet grass in the sunny morning
It is a slimy slippery frog hopping away from me
It is a bristly leaf floating down from the trees onto the fresh grass
It is healthy broccoli sitting on my dinner plate waiting to get eaten
It is the tall mount with people climbing up and around it
Green is a pesky weed sitting in my beautiful garden

Red
Red is the shiny stunning rose slowly growing in the rainy spring
Red is the dark red blood slowly flowing down the green veins
Red is the hot lava boiling in the colossal frightful volcano
Red is enchanting hibiscus standing still in the tall sparkling vase
Red is the hot fire quickly spreading through the big green forest
Red is the sporty ladybird quietly sitting under the bright green leaf.
